The Journey of SPSN
Kevin Bryant launched SpS in 2015 to help area coaches with better game film to help their teams get better. A graduate of Specs Howard School of Broadcasting (Southfield MI, 2001) and a veteran local sports game announcer, Mr. Bryant has spent over 20 years involved with youth sports production. Beginning his career as an intern with WDIV Channel 4, Mr. Bryant gained valuable knowledge of sports broadcasting that has helped guide the growth of SPSN Having worked for Nelligan Sports Marketing as General Manager of Eastern Michigan athletics he saw the recruiting process playout daily in the Division I athletic department. Also, a former licensed financial advisor for Lincoln Financial, he has worked with many Collegiate and NFL athletes helping with planning strategies for their financial future. Sports is in his blood, his dad, Trevor Harris, is a member of Michigan State Soccer Hall of Fame.
Kevin is a lifelong sports enthusiast who relishes learning new things every day. He frequently debates sports strategy with friends and tries to outperform them in video games. While he's passionate about sports broadcasting, Kevin can often be found in his editing lab rather than on the golf course.
A two-sport varsity athlete in high school, Kevin earned honors as an All-State honorable mention quarterback for Ann Arbor Huron in 1988. He continued his sports involvement while studying Business at Eastern Michigan University, coaching the 1989 Huron freshman football team as the Defensive Coordinator.
In 2001, Kevin had an epiphany while commuting to the Specs School of Broadcast Arts - he wanted to start broadcasting high school sports online. He convinced classmates to join him, secured video equipment, and landed an internship at WDIV in Detroit after impressing local broadcaster Fred McLeod at one of their inaugural shoots.
Over his career, Kevin has worked as a public address announcer for EMU basketball, produced sports documentaries, and served as a color analyst for Community Television Network of Ann Arbor since 2004. His lifelong passion for sports, broadcasting, and constant learning has shaped his diverse professional journey. In 2015, he launched Sports Production Services to provide local youth sports teams with game videos and individual athlete highlight/recruiting videos. Kevin's next mountain is to capture eyeballs to SPSN LIVE, his live streaming platform launched in 2023.
